"Butch" Devarose
September 17, 1943 – October 7, 2022
Julius L. "Butch" Devarose, 79, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at his home. Butch was born on September 17, 1943, in Jacksonville, the son of Julius and Marie (Blane) Devarose. He married Karen Upp, on July 27, 1969 and she survives. He was a member of the KC Lake Club and enjoyed woodworking, diamond paintings, fishing, being around horses and other outdoor acitivities.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Ava Seymour and Eileen Sparrow.
He is survived by his wife Karen; four children, Kimberly Buecker, Tara Proctor, Tammy Cohen and Randy Devarose; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, from 4:30PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00PM at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth Street.
A Celebration of life will be held at the KC Lake Club 141, N. Lakewood Drive in Chatham, on Sunday, October 16, from 1:00PM-5:00PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Refuge Ranch, 9350 Cascade Rd. Rochester, IL 62563.
Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
