PLEASANT PLAINS- Julianne Riggins Thomas, 87, of Pleasant Plains, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center.

Julianne was born June 15, 1928 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Mildred Riggins. She married William B. Thomas in 1977. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, William Riggins (Norma); a sister, Virginia Miller; 6 nieces and nephews, Frank Herrin, John Herrin, Lisa Herrin, Julie Melvin (Steve), Bill Riggins (Gail), and Becky Riggins; and seven great nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law.

Julianne retired from Sangamo Electric. She was a realtor for William B Thomas Realtor. She was active in DAR, Order of the Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of the Farmingdale Presbyterian Church.

At Julianne's request no visitation or funeral will take place. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Peter Cartwright Cemetery in Pleasant Plains. Pastor Lonna Lee will officiate.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Farmingdale Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
