Judith Ann (Hughs) Powell, 80, of Springfield, IL passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

She was born on August 5, 1940, in New Berlin the daughter of Henry and Violet (Mohler) Hughs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ralph Powell; her parents; her big brother Dean Hughs; and her oldest sister, Rosemary (Hughs) Baker.

Judy is survived by her little sister, Irene Hughs; three sons, Greg Giddings, David Giddings, and Steve Cook. She had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Judy was a very positive, fun-loving woman who spent her free time traveling the world and enjoyed all manner of crafts such as painting, sewing, and quilting. She was a dedicated member of South Side Christian Church. She retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue many years ago and enjoyed a full and rich life.

Her memorial service will be held during the upcoming Easter holiday.
