Joseph R. Buskis, 61, of Springfield, formerly of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. John's Hospice.

Joseph was born on December 7, 1956 in Springfield the son of Joseph Anthony and Rosemary Dunlevy Buskis.

He worked for the State of Illinois Secretary of State and Buskis Home Supply.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed watching sports and reading.  He was a hard worker, an animal lover and had attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Buskis; and sister, Jolene Patrick Buskis.

He is survived by brother, Robert Buskis; daughter, Kathryn Padget; two granddaughters; and several nieces and cousins.

Memorial services will be at  12:00 noon on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
