John D. Shanle

BUFFALO, IL - John D. Shanle, 56, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 23, 1957, in Lincoln, the son of Charles and Elma Newhouse Shanle.

He was a truck driver for Flag Trucking Company in Riverton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his twin brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Wilma "Billie", Charles "Spike" and Raymond "Buck" Shanle.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Faith McFall; daughters, Dawn McFall of Calif., Jackie Shanle of Springfield, and Crystal Shanle of Buffalo; siblings, Carol, Fritz, Mary, Donna, Chester, David, Karen, James "Jim" Shanle and Vonda "Sue" Snodgrass; grandchildren, Dayton and Charisma Paproth and Nevaeh Shanle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating. Cremation will follow services.

Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 200 S. Church St., Mechanicsburg, IL 62545, is in charge of arrangements.
