John James Rupnik, 71, of Edinburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. John's Hospital.

John was born on November 12, 1944 in Springfield the son of John and Marian Enlow Rupnik.

John was a restaurant owner for over 50 years.  He lived in Edinburg for 37 years and ran Uncle John's Restaurant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Rupnik and Danny Danenberger.

He is survived by children, Lisa (Kevin) Stoeckel, Carrie Davis, Jeremy (Hillary) Danenberger, Robert Stiltz and Darren (Laura) Horve; brothers, Joe A. Rupnik and Gene A. (Bobbe) Rupnik; sixteen grandchildren; nieces, Lisa (David) Leone and Maggie Rupnik; nephews, Stan, Mark and Lee Rupnik; and several cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Edinburg with Reverend Gaylord Spilker officiating.  Cremation will follow services.
