John Michael Fifer Jr., 51, of Springfield, IL passed away on Friday July 7, 2023.

John was born in Springfield on October 6, 1971 and was the son of John Michael Fifer Sr. and Connie (Garrison) Sidles.

He loved his family and friends and never knew a stranger. John enjoyed fishing, racing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. John especially loved his grandbabies. He was a mechanic for over 40 years and his family could always depend on him to work on their car when they were in a bind.

He was a joker at heart and made the best of every situation.

He is survived by his children, Taylor Fifer(fiancé, Nolan Neal)  and Cody Cleeton; wife, Angela Cleeton; grandchildren, Caison Cleeton and Boston Fifer; mother, Connie Sidles; two sisters, Brooke and Dawn and three brothers, Brian, Bob and Evan; as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Sr.; and best friend, Leon Linders.

Cremation Services are being accorded.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 5, 2023 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the VFW Hall on 2349 Stockyard Rd, Springfield, IL 62702. Friends and Family are welcome and encouraged to join.
