John Walther Eddington, 51, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

John was born on March 4, 1966 in Springfield the son of Alfred William and Margie Marie Nave Eddington.

He was owner and operator of Air Con Heating and Cooling.  He was a member of Divernon Sportsman Club and he enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Jacksonville.

He is survived by his mother, Margie Marie Eddington of Springfield; six siblings, Steve (Janet) Eddington of Bloomington, Dan (Debbie) Eddington of Shorewood, Margie Louisa Eddington of Springfield, Jeff (companion, Annette) Eddington of Harvel, Sandra (companion, Steve) Sharer of Springfield and Mike Eddington of Springfield; companion, Penny Williams of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews, cousins.

Cremation will be accorded.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Dan and Steve Eddington officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League.
