Jerry Ann Smith, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Jerry Ann was born on March 2, 1942, in Taylorville, IL. the daughter of Francis "Doc" and Mary (Howard) O'Brien. She married Thomas L. Smith at St. Rita's Church in Kincaid on February 19, 1966.

Jerry Ann loved to sew and quilt and spend time with her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Mary Frances Wilson, Irene Hunt, Michael O'Brien, and Thomas Patrick O'Brien.

Jerry Ann is survived by her children, Nicole (Scott) Raps, Brian (Annette) Smith, and Jennifer (Chris) Goodrich; grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon Raps, Dylan and Olivia Goodrich, Maggie, Kammie, Sabrina, Inara Smith; siblings, Rite Huneke and Catherine Maltby as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was accorded by Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Burial will follow at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
