Jerry D. Ramsey, 86, of Springfield, formerly of Illiopolis, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Mill Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Springfield. Jerry was born in Brookfield, MO. on May 27, 1936, the son of Clifford and Pauline (McCollum) Ramsey. He married Rosalie Stumper on September 4, 1954, in Virginia, IL. and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2003.

Jerry was a hard worker and very family oriented. He owned several gas stations as well as JR's Family Restaurant and Ramsey Oil Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosalie; daughter, Mitzi Drake; and two brothers, LeRoy and Paul Ramsey.

He is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Ramsey) Blair of Illiopolis, Tammy (Dennis) Campbell of Illiopolis and Angela (Rich) Goodman of St. Charles, MO.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one brother, Robert (Sally) Ramsey as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Illiopolis Christian Church with Reverend Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis.
