Jeffrey Aaron Patton, 57, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at his residence.

Jeff was born on July 9, 1959, in Taylorville, the son of Jack and Caroline Jean Butcher Patton.  He married Pam Fettis on October 14, 1988 in Springfield.

Jeff retired from Caterpillar after working for over 30 years on the assembly line.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kurt Patton.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Patton of Springfield; daughter, Mariah Trader of Springfield; stepchildren, Sean Brown of Springfield and Amie Bateman of Breeze; brother, Mike Patton of Mt. Auburn; grandchild, Olan Trader;  and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded no services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
