SPRINGFIELD, IL - Jeanette Ridgeway, 79, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Jeanette was born on Feb. 25, 1935, in Springfield, the daughter of Russell Wilbert and Mary (Nichols) Ridgeway.

Jeanette worked for Illini Bank as a bookkeeper for several years, then went on to work for Family Video in the accounting department. She enjoyed traveling, horseback riding and participating in cancer walks. She was a member of the Women's Business Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jeanette is survived by her brothers, Gary (Ann) Ridgeway of Springfield, Russell (Maureen) Ridgeway of Rochester, John (Sharon) Ridgeway of Edinburg and Rick Ridgeway of Kansas, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Wilson Park Funeral Home with Reverend Julie Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Joe Brunk Cemetery.
