Jean Rosa, 87 of Rochester, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Greenview, IL on November 16, 1930, to Milton and Goldie Thomas.  She married Dominic Rosa on July 1, 1950.

Survivors include husband, Dominic; son, Mike (Connie) of Streator; daughter, Brenda Teater (Larry) of Rochester; sister, Sharon Smithers of Springfield; sister-in-law, Sue Thomas of Springfield; grandchildren, Heather Bernardes (Chuck), Shawna Teater, Shane Teater (Emily), Tim Rosa (Kim), Jill Seaton (Matt), and Angela Rosa; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Thomas.

Jean worked for the State of Illinois.  She was also a licensed Cosmetologist, owning and operating Fashion Flare Beauty shop for several years.  Jean was a member of Little Flower Parish.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Reverend Allen Kemme officiating.
