Janice L. Raps

ROCHESTER, IL - Janice L. Raps, 84, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Heritage Manor in Springfield.

Janice was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Petersburg. She married Robert Raps in 1958. She was a member of the Rochester Methodist Church and a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but had worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company and also worked in the cafeteria at Rochester School.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Janice is survived by her husband, Robert Raps; son, Scott (Nicole) Raps of Springfield; two grandsons, Jordan and Brandon Raps; her brother, Jude (Shirley) Eckhoff of Grayslake; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m., Rev. Cathy McCafferty officiating. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery.
