Janet Lea Taylor, 89, of Rochester, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Janet was born on October 5, 1934, in Barstow, CA., the daughter of Lee and Marian (Sears) Hobbs. She married Kenneth Taylor on November 1, 1952 and they shared 71 years together. Janet enjoyed researching family genealogy, as well as knitting, needlework and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Janet is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Claude and Dan Taylor, and Carolyn (Mike) Chaney; five grandchildren, Jessica and Matt Chaney, Ian Taylor, Rebecca Chaney and Joe Taylor; three great grandchildren Cameron and Easton Chaney and Theo Lynch; one sister, Lola (Bruce) Shipley.

Cremation was accorded by Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester. Family services will be held at a later date.
