IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James William
Sepich
July 2, 1951 – February 15, 2026
James William Sepich of Springfield, IL passed away on February 15, 2026.
Born in Canton, IL on July 2, 1951 to Emil and Janet Sepich. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister Martha “Marti” Bullock.
Jim is survived by his children; Jason (Shawna) Sepich, Megan (Ryan) Amerson, Sara Sepich, and Matthew Sepich.
He is survived by his 8 grandchildren Noah, Colin, Kelsey, Brinley, Riley, Briar, Blane, and Erika. He is also survived by his twin brother, John (Kathy) Sepich of Jonesboro, AR and Rob (Joanne) Sepich of Madison, WI; and brother in law, Paul Bullock.
Jim worked for the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway in Peoria while living in Peoria, and retired from Kansas City Southern Railway in 2015.
Any project that Jim took on, he completed with precision. His Tiffany stained glass lamps and windows were true works of art, although Jim’s modest demeanor always downplayed his accomplishments.
His quiet and self-effacing nature may have masked the enormous love and admiration he had for his four children, but those close to him could hear it loud and clear.
Jim was a kind and empathic soul and he will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Celebration of life will be held at St Johns Vianney Catholic Church parish center at 902 St John Dr. in Sherman, IL on May 30, 2026 from 1-3pm.
