James Michael Schroeder "MIKE", 63, of Springfield, IL passed away on July 29, 2021.

James was born in Springfield, IL on July 15, 1958 the son of James and Patricia (Schnepp) Schroeder.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

James is survived by his daughter, Jami Schroeder; father, James A. "Jim" Schroeder; grandchildren, Jaidyn Logan, Jacyn Logan, and Joziah Wilson; sisters, Gloria Phillips (husband, Joe), Sandy Palmer (husband, Bobby); brothers, Jeff Schroeder, (wife, Donna), and Brian Schroeder (wife, Theresa).

James was an award winning Chef and a military sharp shooter while he served with the United States Marine Corps.

He will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery on September 17, 2021 at 11am with Military Honors.
