James Delos McDaniel, 76, of Springfield, IL passed away on November 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born on April 23, 1944 in Chicago, IL the son of Glenn and Marie McDaniel.

James was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don McDaniel and a sister, Barbara Otten.

He is survived by his wife, Rusti of Springfield; his son Jeff and his son Robert, both of Springfield.

As a young man, James served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. After, he began working for the family business of McDaniel Drywall until he retired. He married his wife, Rusti in Lakemoore, IL on November 26, 1989. He loved animals, fishing, and hunting. During his time in the Marines, James became a Golden Glove Boxer.

Cremation services are being accorded by Elligner-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
