Obituary

James Lynn Lockwood, 67, of Edinburg, passed away on Friday October 20, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on September 3, 1950 in Taylorville, the son of Ronald and Loretta (Harbert) Lockwood.

James was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973. He worked as a pipe welder and boilermaker for Kelly Construction out of Decatur. He was a member of Edinburg/Blueville Masonic lodge #647 and loved golfing, playing with his grandchildren, and watching Cardinals Baseball.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Marie Lockwood, and Grace and Clyde Harbert; two uncles, Donald and Rex Harbert; and a nephew, Ryan Lockwood.

James is survived by his parents; one daughter, Lindsey (Keith) Bliler; seven brothers, Gary (Donna), David (Rosemary), Steve, Mark (Debbie), Scott (Sue), Kirk (Debbie), Jay (Chris) Lockwood; a sister, Leane (Scott) Dailey; three grandchildren Layne, Henley and Corbin Bliler; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral home in Edinburg, with masonic rites service at 8:00 pm. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Lockwood officiating
