James Kenneth Keys, 48, of Riverton, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his residence.

James was born on September 12, 1969 in Urbana, the son of James Louis and Janet Mary Drinkwalter Keys.  He married John L. Pottorf in Springfield, June 2014.

He was tech support for the Illinois Supreme Court Administrative Offices for the last 6 years.  He enjoyed computers and was certified through Microsoft.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his husband, John Pottorf; father, James (Rita) Keys; sister, Kristin (Dave) Gebel of Geneva; brother, Michael (Jodi) Keys of Niantic; stepsister, Emily (Sean) Kerwin of Peoria; and several aunts,uncles, nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League or Illinois Humane.
