James William Farris, 66, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Jim was born on November 8, 1954, in Springfield, to Elmer and Loretta (McGlenn) Farris. He married Sandra Mohn in 1993 and she survives. Jim is also survived by five children, Dalton (Sara) Farris of Dunlap; Cody (Jena) Farris of Dunlap; Elizabeth (Brad) Gordon of Colorado; Dillon Farris of Rochester and Mason Farris of Rochester; two grandchildren, Gianna Farris and Oliver Gordon; three sisters, Vicki (Dennis) Cave; Mary Beth Sphar; and Patricia (Steve) Baskosky. He was preceded in death by his brother, Doc Farris, and parents Elmer and Loretta.

Jim was a crane operator and member of Local 965. He was a good father, loyal friend and loved his dogs. Jim was an avid crappie fisher and loved being in his boat on the water. He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 27, 2021 at Elks Lodge # 158, 409 E Lakeshore Drive in Springfield from 3:30PM until 7:00PM. Masks are appreciatied.
