James H. Farley, Sr. 82, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. John's Hospice.

James was born on October 26, 1933 in Springfield the son of Jesse W. and Norvella Pope Farley.  He married Susie Akers.

He was owner and operator of Jim's Auto Salvage and then went on to own East Side Auto Salvage.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Sarah Bell Orr, Junior, Dickie and Billie Farley.

He is survived by two sons, Jim H. (Betsy) Farley and Bobby Power both of Springfield; one daughter, Susie Jackson of Spaulding; five siblings, Norma Grimmett, Sharon Neal, Janet Bowman, Joyce Lowe and Donnie Farley; ten grandchildren, Chrissy Timm, Melissa Timm, Donny Timm Jr., Jimmy Farley III, Garland Akers, Gregory Farley, Lacie Farley, Sydney, Sabrina and Bobby; several beloved great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Hyde officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
