James W. Caples, 63, of Riverton, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home. James was born on September 26, 1958 in Springfield, the son of Wilbur Caples and Esther (Woods) Ater. He is survived by his wife, Dana; son, Cody, and one sister, Rosemary Mohn. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 112 N. 6th Street, in Riverton,  from 9:30AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30AM.  Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth St. in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
