James E. Brown, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his residence.

James was born on March 13, 1937 in Lutz, TN, the son of Homer and Amie Brown.  He married Deloris Irene Bean on September 17, 1979; she preceded him in death on June 5, 2010.

He was a truck driver for over 40 years, mainly with Davis Trucking retiring in 1999.  He enjoyed playing pool and cards.  He loved to gamble and listening to old country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandy Barton; and son, Rickey Brown.

He is survived by his children, Susie (Steve Lowe) Brown of Springfield, Amy (Josh) Smith of Riverton, Tonya (Eddie) Martinez of Springfield; Sheila (Scott) Parmalee of Pompeii, MI, Randy (Shirley) Brown of Springfield, Cathy (James Bast) Neff of Springfield, Tami (Rick) Williams of Clintonville, WI; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Rose officiating.  Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
