Herman W. Behl, 61, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his residence.

Herman was born on February 12, 1956 in Springfield the son of Herman H. and Catherine Irene DeGrotte.

He enjoyed fishing and working on lawn equipment.

He is survived by seven children, Travis of Riverton, Edward of Springfield, Nick of Chatham, Kelly of San Antonio, TX, Erica of Collinsville, Amy of Collinsville and Ryan of Springfield; siblings, Linda, Howard and Karen; several grandchildren; and step-mother, Betty.

Cremation will be accorded.  Private family services will be at a later.
