Harold Eugene "Shade" Nave

EDINBURG, IL - Harold Eugene "Shade" Nave, 82, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Taylorville Care Center. He was born on July 8, 1931, in Edinburg, the son of LeRoy and Alice Pierce Nave.

Harold married Velma Frances Westbrook on Oct. 26, 1962. He retired from the Christian County Highway Department. He loved to fish, hunt and camp.

He was preceded in death by his infant twin brother and sister, Ernest and Ernestine, and sister, Norma.

Survived by his wife, Velma Frances; son, Russel E. Westbrook (Melanie) of Taylorville; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, from 5-7 p.m. at the Wilson Park Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 30, with Reverend Ray Radae officiating.
