Harold Hinchey, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Heritage Health.

Harold was born on July 4, 1929 in Jefferson City, TN the son of Paul and Meta Bowns Hinchey. He married Romona Holman; she preceded him in death.  He later married Barbara Trueblood; she preceded him in death.

He worked for the railroad for many years and enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching westerns.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by daughter, Roseann Salerno of Springfield; son, J.R. Hinchey of Springfield; stepchildren, Melvin Holman, Alice Holman and Linda Rudd all of Ft. Madison, IA and John Trueblood of Springfield; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded.  Graveside services will be held at a later date.
