Gloria Wicker, 77, of Illiopolis, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her home. Gloria was born on January 29, 1947, in Illiopolis, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy (Stokes) Shartzer.

Gloria worked for Dekalb in the hatchery for several years before going to work for the State of Illinois as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo on her tablet and taking care of her plants.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Bud, Darrell and Randy Shartzer.

Gloria is survived by two daughters, Barbara (James) Bledsaw, Cathy (Kevin) Beck; one son, Kevin Wicker; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three sisters, Cora Casteel, Sue (Richard) Ballinger, and Margaret (Dan) Norris; one brother, Rick Shartzer, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Gloria's wishes, cremation will be accorded by Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis and graveside services will be held in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
