George E. Maglone, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at his home.

He was the son of Robert L. and Helen A. Maglone who preceded him in death.  He married Gloria J. Fults in 1971 at Third Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria and his two sons, George Jr. and Shane Robert, both of Springfield.

He is also the little brother of three half-sisters, Mabel R. Leo (Frank), Nancy L. Knott and Roberta L. Hill (Paul)

George retired from the Springfield City Police Department in 2000.  The past several years he greatly enjoyed driving the activity bus for the residents of the Capitol Retirement Village.  He was a volunteer at the Tri-City Food Pantry in Mechanicsburg.  He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Reverend Shane Hartman officiating.  Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery
