BUCKHART, IL - Gene Carter Sagle, 74, of Buckhart, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Anna Hansen Sagle.

Gene was a retired Union Painter, avid hockey enthusiast, and Cardinal fan. He also enjoyed shuffleboard and drag racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Byron Sagle; and sister, Virginia Neighbors.

He is survived by his companion, Mary Kay Ramsey; and Evon Pickens (A.C.), Gary (Cathy) Sagle, Diane (Craig) Cole, Mike (Shanna) Sagle, Lori (Rich) Jarrett, Lenny Sagle, Steve (Lollie) Sagle; sister, Lolah Schleyhahn; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Gene's home, 3275 Young Road, Mechanicsburg.
