Gary L Ingles, 74 of Pleasant Plains, IL passed away at home on Monday June 20, 2022.

Gary was born in La Harpe, IL on August 24, 1947 and is the son of Clarence and Helen Ingles; both of whom preceded Gary in Death.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5thSt. Springfield, IL from 4:00pm till 6:00pm. The funeral service will be held the following day, June 24, at the funeral home at 8:30am. Military Honors will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 10:00am following the funeral services. Pastor Nathaniel Kern of the Salisbury Christian Church will be officiating.

Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1976. He then went into banking and worked for several entities including, The State of Illinois Commissioner of Banks and Trusts, Marine Bank in Springfield, and the Vermont State Bank in Vermont, IL. He was an avid sports fan an especially loved his Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Illini. Gary coached baseball and softball for many years and continued to watch his grandchildren compete in all sporting events.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Burton) Ingles; children, Jeff (Teresa) Ingles of Pleasant Plains and Becky (Aaron) Shown of Pleasant Plains; grandchildren, Andrew Ingles of Springfield, Logan (fiancé, Addison Wofford) Ingles of Springfield, Maggie (Benjamin) Roby of Minot, ND, Elizabeth (partner, Sean Picolo) Ingles of Minot, ND, Alli Shown of Pleasant Plains and Malari Shown of Pleasant Plains; great grandchildren, Hannah, Haven, and Halle Ingles of Springfield, Silas Picolo and Pheonix Roby of Minot, ND; siblings, Don (Peggy) Ingles of Lomax, IL, Melody Hensley of La Harpe, IL, Randy (Joyce) Ingles of New Orleans, LA and Paul Ingles of La Harpe, IL along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salisbury Christian Church.
