Francis "Frank" J. Ferguson, 89, of Apex, NC, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Transition Hospice Care in Raleigh, NC.

Frank was born on September 19, 1928 in Chicago the son of William and Mary Clark Ferguson.  He married Tressie Mae Boehner; she preceded him in death on December 28, 2014.

Frank worked for the State of Illinois as a Supervisor at the Department of Public Aid.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and the St. Louis Cardinals.  He made beautiful stained glass pieces for his family who will treasure them always.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary Griffin and Paul Ferguson He is survived by daughters, Gayle (Phil) Jones and Brenda (Peter) Crawford; brother, William Ferguson; grandchildren, Courtney, Jason, Zach and Shea;  great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lexie, Ross and Olivia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
