Evelyn Belle Eynon, 101, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village surrounded by her family.
Evelyn was born on January 20, 1915 in Salisbury the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Carmen Cox. She married Reed A. Eynon on June 26, 1937 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on October 15, 1992.
Evelyn owned and operated Minature Nursery with her husband for 16 years retiring in 1974. She was a member of Elm Street Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her son, David Eynon; one brother, Clarence Cox, Jr.; and one sister, Dorothy Berberet.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Flare of Virden, Nancy McCann-Stone of Springfield, and Marty (Ed) DuCharme of Locust Grove, GA; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Dave Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Elm Street Christian Church or Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
