Eva Pauline Spain Neff Scurlock, 92, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at her home. Eva was born in Mechanicsburg, IL on March 22, 1932, the daughter of Earl and Essie (Harbert) Spain. She married John Neff on June 6, 1952 and together they had 6 children. She then married Bob Scurlock in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2009. Eva was past President and past Secretary/Treasurer of UAW Local 114, Auxiliary member of VFW Post 1032, Red Hat Society, and an active member of Fountain of Life United Methodist Church in Buffalo. She also enjoying gardening and doing yardwork.

She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, and one brother, Robert Spain.

Eva is survived by her children, Deb (Paul) Cervone, Kathie Drury, Julie Neff, Renee (David) Tones, Steve (Stacy) Neff and Stu (Jeanna) Neff; grandchildren, Adam, Lindsay, Amber, Kelly, Casey, Corey, Ashley and Brandy; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Doris Fishburn, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00AM at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 200 S. Church St. in Mechanicsburg. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Children's' hospital.
