Elsie Helen McLaughlin-Myers, 87, of Divernon, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home. She was born in Springfield, IL, on May 8, 1936, the daughter of Siebert and Helen (Best) McLaughlin

She married Harold Myers and he preceded her in death in 1986. Elsie enjoyed word search puzzle books, sitting on the back porch drinking her coffee while watching the bluejays and cardinals, but most of all she loved spending time with all of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Bonnie Myers; brother, Robert McLaughlin; sisters, Doris McLaughlin Wanless, Lulu McLaughlin Angelia, Margaret McLaughlin Neal, Murial McLaughlin Bakker, Mildred McLaughlin Petcher, Joann McLaughlin Carver, and grandchildren Ethen Carr Jr, and Jessica Myers.

She is survived by her children, Harold Myers of Springfield; Helen Myers of Auburn, Bobby Myers of Springfield, Brenda (Tom) Masters of Divernon, Cheryl Swan of Ponotoc, MS., and Randy Myers of Springfield; brothers Siebert, Charles, and Kenneth McLaughlin; sisters, Dorothy Hohimer and Kathy Roscetti; grandchildren, Krystall Myers, Melody Scoggins, Harold "JR", Waylon, and Jarid Myers, Fletcher and Travis Collins, Bobby Myers, Sherry Brandon, Brandon Swan, Joshua Ganley, and Tyler and Tyson Berry as well as several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00PM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
