Elmer Wayne Green

BUFFALO, IL - Elmer Wayne Green, 81, died on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at his residence.

Elmer was born Dec. 14, 1931, in Cooper Township, Ill., the son of Harry and Vietta Krane Green.

Mr. Green was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Herrin Fertilizer and had also done construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Sam Green.

He is survived by two daughters, Laura Reade of Springfield and Nancy; two sons, Rick Odom of Gunnison, Co., and Jeffrey (Deanne) Green of Ga.; two sisters, Dorothy Lochbaum of Sullivan, Ind., and Marjorie Rogers of Mechanicsburg; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors.
