Obituary

Edna Pauline McLean, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

Pauline was born on June 17, 1933 in Wood River the daughter of Benjamin Shanon and Lola Elsie Baines Bricker.  She married Edgar McLean; he preceded her in death.

Pauline was a homemaker and an in home child care provider and loved the children she cared for as if they were her own.  She was a member of Westside Christian Church.  She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, bingo and Wii bowling.  She was also a die-hard Cardinal fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael; and four siblings.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sczurko of Petersburg; two sons, Richard McLean of Cantrall and Russell McLean of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Krista, Kerri, Shawna, Maric, Kaleb, Krystal, Sasha, Tiffany, and Greg; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Joan Beckwith, Ruth Campbell and Lloyd Bricker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Vaughn Beeman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to choice of the donor.
