E. Jean Brown, 72, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center.

Jean was born on January 4, 1945 in Lincoln the daughter of Henry Reidel and Wilma Caroline Wilke Dehner.  She married Dennis J. Brown on August 2, 1975 at St. Patrick's Church in Lincoln; he preceded her in death on April 11, 2016.

She worked for the State of Illinois and was a member of the Jerome women's Club.  She enjoyed watching Family Feud, traveling to California and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived one son, Owen (Heather) Brown of Springfield; daughter, Tara (Robert) Jordan of Springfield; siblings, John Dehner, DDS and Linda Wright; three grandchildren; Arianna and Austin Luster and Grant Brown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating.  Cremation to follow services.
