Former Lakeview resident Dorothy Crouse Waddell, 93, passed away April 6, 2016 at her home in Bradenton, Fla.  Burial will be private in Chatham, Ill.

Dorothy was born June 27, 1922 in Loami, Ill. to Elmer and Mary Alice Crouse.  She married John Waddell on January 18, 1941 in Springfield, Ill.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Fla.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; one brother two sisters; one son, Albert; and one grandson, William "Bill" Waddell.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Fred (Karen Hopper) of Lakeview, Ark.; two daughters,  Jean Waddell of Bradenton, Fla. and Susan (Paul) Piscator of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; one daughter-in-law, Marie Waddell of Livonia, Mo.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
