Doris Faye White

ROCHESTER, IL - Doris Faye White, 85, of Rochester, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.

Doris was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Bolivia, Ill., the daughter of Melvin and Arola Stuart Powers. She married Kenneth White in 1948; he preceded her in death in 2011.

Doris worked for the State of Illinois and was a member of the Mechanicsburg Christian Church and Holiday Ramblers.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Jim) Doedtman of Rochester and Kathy Bushnell of Mechanicsburg; a son, Rick (Linda) White of Edinburg; four grandchildren: Daniel and Michael White, Adam Doedtman and Amanda Doedtman; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. Brad Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
