Doris Fishburn, 97, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Doris was born in Taylorville, IL, on October 31, 1928, the daughter of Earl F. and Essie May (Harbert) Spain. She married Leonard Alvie Fishburn on January 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2014.

She enjoyed playing cards with her family, gardening and working outside.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, 5 children, Allen, Larry Dean, Gary Lynn, Clifford Dale, and Michael Todd Fishburn; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Fishburn and Jacob Coyle.

Doris is survived by her children, Eileen (Joe) Cavins, Terry (Judy) Fishburn, Brenda (Dave) Coyle, Betty Fishburn, and Tony (Dorothy) Fishburn; 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00AM at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 200 S. Church St. in Mechanicsburg.

Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
