Donna Lee Smith-Reynolds, 84, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 3, 1941, in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Josephine (Gawthrop) McMahill. Donna married Ronald Smith Sr., who preceded her in death in 1982. She later married William “Billy” Reynolds, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Donna worked as an administrative assistant for Aramark and was a part owner of Billy’s Stockyard. She enjoyed bird watching, planting flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ronald Smith Sr. and Billy Reynolds; and her brother, Don McMahill.

Donna is survived by her children, Melissa (Denny) Ryan of Springfield, Ronald (Penny) Smith Jr of Springfield., Willie Reynolds of Pontiac, Tina Hebert of Springfield and Scott Reynolds of Astoria. ; grandchildren, Amy Esela (companion Brian Lively), Melanie Esela (companion Gary Graham), Leah (Steve) Gifford, Ryan (Hannah) Smith, and Kimberly Aten; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchild; her brother, Larry (Shirley) McMahill; and one nephew.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Rochester, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Clearlake, Springfield.

Memorial donations may be made to the APL, Sangamon County Animal Control, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
