Donald Allen Stubbs, 68, of Springfield, IL passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Donald was born in Springfield on January 23, 1957 and was the son of Donald Richmond and Mary Joanne Sallenger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jeff Stubbs, Andrew Sallenger, Tonya Sallenger, and a brother that died at birth.

Donald is survived by his children, Christy Stubbs, Donald Stubbs II (wife, Patty), Jeremy Stubbs, Jessica Griffin (husband, Jason), Nicholas Stubbs (wife, Chelsea), Larry Stubbs (wife, Jessica), Katie Stubbs, and Joseph Stubbs all of Springfield; 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Chuck (wife, Kathy) Stubbs of Taylorville, Tim Sanders of Springfield, Bonnie (husband, Tony) of Springfield, Kimberly Sallenger of Springfield, and Eric Sallenger of Springfield; numerous, nieces, nephews, and relatives and his beloved dog, Stormy.

Donald enjoyed fishing and working on automobiles. He was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats.

Donald will be laid to rest at Oakridge Cemetery with a private family service and a Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
