ROCHESTER, IL - Donald "Peabody" Kent Padget, 57, of Rochester, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at his residence.

Donald was born May 14, 1958, in Springfield, Ill., the son of Donald Larue and Donna Mallicoat Padget. He married Cathy Brockelsby on May 19, 2000.

He was a 1976 graduate of Southeast High School and worked as a carpenter for Local 270. He served as a Republican Precinct Committeeman for Rochester 03 for 12 years. He was a member of Real Life Church, Aqua Sports Club and Lake Springfield Bass Anglers. He was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Padget; two sons, Donald J. (Lindsey) and Joshua (Kimberly) Padget; daughter, Melissa (companion, Mike Waitkus) Padget; two stepsons, Matthew and Justin Armstead; mother, Donna Padget; one sister Dorene (Ed) Kileen; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with the Rev. Clint Cook officiating.
