Donald Walter Eddington, 89, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence.

Donald was born on July 7, 1928 in Springfield the son of Samuel and Minnie Hansen Edddington.  He married Lois E. Blakeman on October 29, 1949.

Donald owned and operated Lincoln Trails Mobile Home Park for many years.  He previously worked for Allis Chalmers and St. Francis Convent in the boiler room.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sam and his wife, Peggy; and his grandparents.

He is survived by son, Roger (Janet) Eddington; brothers, Edward (Barbara) and Paul (Joyce) Eddington; granddaughters, Theresa (Nathan) Shephard and Bobbi Jo (Aaron) Santarelli; great-granddaughter, Asiah Horton; great-grandson, Timothy Collier; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
