Donald Eugene Drillinger, 94, of Springfield, IL. passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Elmcroft of Wyndcrest, in Rochester. He was born on March 1, 1927, in Clearlake Township, the son of Charles and Bernice (Reed) Drillinger. He married Betty Coe on November 18, 1947, and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2010.

Donald was a WWII Veteran, serving in the US Army in the Blue Devil Division in Gorizia, Italy.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Bev Drillinger and Brenda (Roger) Harney; two grandchildren, April (Larry) Caulk and Adrien (Josh) Nuechterlein; four great grandchildren, Lydia, Kyle, Liam and Kinley and cousin, David Drillinger.

Private family services will be held and burial will take place at Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or to the National VFW.
