SPRINGFIELD, IL - Diana Lynn Sutton, "K.B.", 59, of Springfield, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at St. John's Hospital.
Diana was born July 22, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of Art and Dorothy Woodson Barnard. She married Thomas James Sutton on Feb. 9, 2008.
Diana went to Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School and attended Springfield High School. After school she traveled the country from coast to coast and returned to Springfield. For the last 15 years she managed Price Street Pub with her husband, Thomas. She was very giving and caring and made a mean cheese ball.
She was a member of the Eagle's Club for many years and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was also an avid Cardinals Fan.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William; sister, Mary Michele; and niece, Jenny Hicks Tumulty.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Sutton of Springfield; six step-grandchildren: Eli, Jake, Mikey, Harrison, Willow and Vivian; siblings: Beverly Dorworth Monda of South Carolina, Vicki Hicks of Florida, Thomas (Phyllis) Barnard of Edinburg, Robert Barnard of Indiana, John, Rich, and Frank (Jenny) Barnard, Shawn (P.J.) Daugherty and Terry Barnard, all of Springfield; and several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
There will be a Remembrance Gathering from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at The Penny Bar, formerly Price Street Pub.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by the choice of the donor.
