SPRINGFIELD, IL - Dennis Freligh, 61, of Springfield, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center.
Dennis was born June 15, 1954, in Springfield, the son of Henry Freligh and Shirley Blankenship. He married Elizabeth Welsh on Sept. 3, 2001, in Springfield.
He worked as an independent contractor and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Helen Freligh; and one brother, Lyle Frantz.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Lindsay Leannis of Springfield; stepchildren, Adam Leannis and Amber Drury, both of Springfield, Kaitlyn Welsh of St. Louis, Mo., and April Miller of Jefferson City, Mo.; siblings: Dennis Frantz, Sandra Nadziejko, Larry Freligh, Ron Freligh and Fred Freligh; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Clint Cook officiating.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 1-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the Just Left Inn, 2163 S. 15th St., Springfield, IL.
