Dennis W. Ayers, 69, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.

Dennis was born in Springfield on February 20, 1952, the son of Paul and Wilma Jean (Schumacher) Ayers. He married Debbie Fleigle on April 23, 1977. Dennis grew up in Rochester and was a lifelong farmer with his son Christopher and enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Debbie; three children, Rebecca (Jason) Weller, Amber (Shane) Massa, and Christopher (Tegan) Ayers; six grandchildren, Gage Weller, Keegan and Thea Massa, Jackson Evans, and Liam and Steffan Ayers; brother, Ron (Shirley) Ayers; sister Carolyn (Ron) Ruggless; and aunt, Mary Alice Long.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, from 4:00-6:00PM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester.

Memorial services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 21, at 10:30 with Pastor David Johnson officiating.
