David W. Wilson, 61, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born December 14, 1960 in Springfield, IL the son of Luther and Cordelia (Hunter) Wilson. He married Cheryl Lambert on February 17, 1984. David was employed at Eaton Corporation in Lincoln. He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved playing a competitive and challenging game of washers and Cornhole with like-minded players. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons, Josh of Springfield; Gary of Auburn; brother, Marvin of Fenton, MO; sister Sharon Hinds of Rochester; grandchildren; Emilee Jo, Gavynn, and Jeremy. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services at 1:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Tony officiating. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery at Rochester. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Simmons Cancer Institute. Wilson Park Funeral Home 200 E.
